Consolidate understanding of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) and requirements under the Disability Standards for Education 2005 This link will open in a new window (the Standards) by completing professional learning. Provision should be made for new and beginning teachers who may have missed introductory training.
It is best practice to take a whole-school approach to professional learning about the DDA and the Standards. A whole-school approach supports effective and consistent decision making.
