NCCD phases

In this section of the website, you will learn how to undertake each of the four phases of the NCCD. 

  1. Planning: Prepare for the NCCD by building understandings of the NCCD and its underpinning legislations. Discuss processes, review support materials and communicate with parents, guardians, carers and students.  
  2. Implementation: Follow the NCCD model to determine which students are receiving adjustments due to disability, the levels of adjustment and the broad category of disability. Also undertake moderation.
  3. Validation: Notify parents, guardians and carers about the NCCD. Record NCCD data and verify and confirm it. Submit NCCD information. 
  4. Reflection: Evaluate the application of the NCCD model and how school practices and processes could be improved to facilitate next year's NCCD.
